Stress can lead to addictive tendencies. Who feels like they may need that piece of chocolate, glass of wine, third cup of coffee, simply want to eat all the time, grab that cigarette or engage in other forms of ‘easing stress’ and ‘unwinding’? I think we ALL have had those experiences at one time or another in our lives. But when those tendencies become constant, start interfering with life and health, and become a habit that seems hard to break, then essential oils can become powerful tools in supporting the process of changing habitual patterns. Find out how below.
Inhaling essential oils is a great way of supporting the brain with neurochemical and hormonal releases, helping to shift habitual patterns.
You can inhale essential oils by:
- Diffusing them (at home, at work, in the car)
- Use a personal aromatherapy inhaler (learn how easy it is to make your own inhaler)
- Wear diffuser jewelry (necklace, bracelet)
- Apply topically to pulse points on neck, inside of wrists and over heart area
- Apply a drop to palms of hands, rub together to create a little heat, cup 6″ in front of face (do not touch eyes) and inhale for a couple of minutes
